The Daily Age Harmonics

This is the most fascinating, wondrous way of using Age Harmonics.

It is so very accurate to the point that you can refine your time of birth to the second if you have enough life events.

Daily Age Harmonics are calculated for the exact day of an event.

The Daily Age Harmonic chart will always trigger the angles of the natal chart and/or the Daily Age Harmonic chart at the time of important events in the life.

Daily Age Harmonic charts can be read as stand alone charts but they are particularly effective when compared to the radix or Year Harmonic charts.

To illustrate, lets look at  the Yearly and Daily Age Harmonic chart for Prince William on his Wedding Day of 29th April 2011.  (click name to see natal chart)

Factors to consider in marriage with any form of prediction:

• Planets in the 7th house—Sun, Moon, North Node
• Ruler of the 7th house—Mercury
• 7th house cusp
• Moon’s Nodes
• Vertex axis
• Venus and Libra
• Parts of Marriage  (Ascendant + Venus—Jupiter)  (Ascendant + cusp of 7th—Venus)
• Parts of Marriage of Men (Ascendant  + Venus—Saturn) (Ascendant + Venus –Sun)
• Part of Marriage Time (Ascendant + Moon—Sun)

Year Age Harmonic

Factors to consider:

• 4 planets in the 7th house
• The ruler of the 7th house in the 7th
• Jupiter in the 7th house trine North Node.
• The Moon, ruler of the 7th house, quincunx Part of Marriage of Men (4Pisces35)
• Uranus opposite Part of Marriage (11Cancer52) and quincunx Mercury in 7th.
• Libra MC

Year Age Harmonic with natal chart

In this chart you can see some very strong and exact triggers:

• Age Harmonic Mercury is conjunct natal Vertex, indicating a time of destiny.  As Mercury is ruler of the 7th house, this is a time of destiny connected to marriage.
• Age Harmonic Uranus is quincunx natal Vertex and Age Harmonic Mercury. The quincunx shows in anything to do with change in the life;
• Age Harmonic North Node is square natal North Node in the 7th house.  The Moon’s Nodes are almost always involved in marriage as the Nodes describe associations and family matters.
• Age Harmonic MC is conjunct natal Mars in Libra.
• Age Harmonic Mars is quincunx Age Harmonic Chiron in natal 7th house.   The Magi astrologers connect Chiron to marriage so this fits very well.
  

Day Age Harmonic

There are several exact triggers in this chart:

• Neptune, the ruler of the 7th house, is conjunct the North Node in Cancer in the 11th house.  This is quite fitting for a public  and very sociable wedding.
• Jupiter, the traditional ruler of the 7th house, is conjunct Ceres – the Queen!  In the 6th house, perhaps a commoner being elevated to a Princess and possibly a Queen.
• The MC is opposite Mercury, the ruler of the natal 7th house.
• Pluto is trine MC, describing the global impact of this event and the powerful people attending the wedding.
• Pluto is sextile Mercury, the ruler of the natal 7th house.
• Mars is trine Prince William’s natal Part of Marriage at 29 Capricorn.

Day Age Harmonic with natal chart

The number of exact triggers of the Daily Age Harmonic to natal are amazing:

• DAH Mercury, the ruler of the natal 7th house, is conjunct natal Mars
• DAH Descendant is square natal Moon in the 7th house
• DAH AntiVertex is square natal Moon in the 7th house
  
• DAH Ascendant is square natal Mercury, ruler of natal 7th house
  
• DAH Neptune-Node, in the natal 7th house, is quincunx natal antiVertex
• DAH Ceres is conjunct natal antiVertex
• DAH Vertex is conjunct natal Jupiter and trine natal Sun in the 7th house
• DAH Moon is conjunct natal Pluto
• DAH Saturn (duty) is conjunct natal Uranus and quincunx natal 7th house Sun.
  
• DAH Part of Fortune is conjunct natal South Node
  

So we know Prince William has a very close to exact time of birth because of all the angles, including the Vertex axis, being activated by the Daily Age Harmonic, and particularly by factors related to the 7th house.    If his time of birth was out by even half a minute, this would not occur.

Relationship Harmonics

In an event like a marriage or association of any kind, the Age Harmonic of one person usually triggers the natal chart of the other.

To Illustrate I will use the birthdate of the now Duchess of Cambridge,  neé Kate Middleton, born on  9th January 1982 in Reading, UK.

We don’t have her birth time as yet.  Speculative times are for 11.15 am and 11.33 pm, but there is no proof for either  time.  The 11.15 am time responds well  to various forms of prediction.

For convenience I will use the time she took her marriage vows at 11.20 am for her natal chart and compare her Age Harmonics  for the marriage on 29th April 2011 to Prince William’s natal chart.

Catherine Middleton’s 29th year age harmonic with Prince William’s natal chart on inside.

Even without a correct time of birth for Catherine (so we can’t consider the angles or the Moon in this harmonic), there are a number of quite powerful connections:

• Catherine’s harmonic Jupiter is in  trine to William’s Part of Marriage at 29 Capricorn.
• Catherine’s harmonic Uranus is conjunct and her harmonic Mars is square William’s Jupiter – perhaps describing the tension leading up to the marriage, but also describing the enormous change in tradition.
• Catherine’s harmonic Saturn in William’s natal 7th house in trine to his natal MC.  If Catherine’s natal Saturn is in her natal 7th house this fits very nicely.
• Catherine’s harmonic Venus conjunct William’s Part of Fortune.

If Catherine was born a few minutes earlier, her harmonic Moon would be conjunct William’s natal Vertex — and this seems very likely.

Prince William with Catherine’s Daily Age Harmonic for Wedding

Even without her time of birth, Catherine’s exact Daily Age Harmonic connections with Prince William’s natal chart are numerous.

The connections to William’s natal 7th house Moon are very pronounced:

• Catherine’s DAH Sun is square
• Her DAH Venus is square
• Her DAH Jupiter is quincunx
• Her DAH Saturn is sextile.

In addition:

• Catherine’s DAH Neptune is quincunx William’s natal Mercury, the ruler of his natal 7th house
• Her DAH Uranus is conjunct William’s natal South Node
• Her DAH North Node is conjunct William’s 5th house Chiron
• Her DAH Pluto is conjunct William’s Part of Marriage
• Her DAH Mars is square William’s Ascendant-Descendant

The Daily Age Harmonic charts move so quickly that these connections could only be there for a day or two, so if the time of birth is inaccurate there are no connections to angles, or often the Moon.  We know we have the correct time for Prince William because it was carefully recorded and the Age Harmonic charts confirm it.

I hope I have amply demonstrated just how accurate harmonic charts are and how effective they can be for prediction, timing and rectification.

The bride started her walk down the aisle at 11.00 am and they were pronounced man and wife by the Archbishop of Canterbury at 11.20 am BST.

This is the chart for the official pronouncement of marriage.

Leo rising with its ruler, the Sun, in the 10th house  is very fitting for a Royal marriage.   The Sun in trine with Pluto is a powerful and fortunate signature giving both leadership abilities and the ability to implement new ideas.

It fascinated me that the angles for this chart are close to identical to the angles of the natal chart of William’s father,  Prince Charles and the chart of  Charles and Camilla marriage (click names to see charts).  This suggests that the degrees of these angles will be important for this branch of the Royal Family.

As is fitting for such a sacred occasion, the Ascendant received a biseptile aspect from the Mars-Jupiter conjunction in the 10th house and Neptune in the 8th house, making a septile pattern.  Septiles to the angles are often involved in ceremonious, spiritual and sacred moments.

The Ascendant is in the Libra duad of Leo, an excellent combination for marriage as it is romantic and ardent  and also gives grace, charm and skill in public relations.    As Venus is the ruler of Libra, this planet becomes the sub-ruler of the Ascendant.

The Ascendant is in applying trine to Venus, so this is a good augury for the harmony of the marriage.  This is further emphasised by Venus conjunct the MC from the 9th house.

Notice that the ruler of the Ascendant, the Sun, is in the Leo duad of Taurus.  Taurus fits the ‘nature’ theme of the wedding, with beautiful maple trees lining the aisle;  these trees will now be planted on William and Catherine’s estate.  The Leo duad further emphasises the royalty theme.

Transiting Jupiter will be conjunct the wedding Sun from  July 2011 – March 2012 , suggesting much happiness and benefit during this period.

The Ascendant in a fixed sign and its ruler, the Sun,  in a fixed sign and duad suggests a long duration for the marriage as fixed signs are stable and settled.

The Vertex axis

is conjunct the Moon’s Nodes axis, indicating a destined union;  this combination often gives considerable public appeal as well.    This axis straddles the 5th-11th house, which could describe children of destiny.  Note that Prince Charles has his Vertex in the 5th house conjunct Mars and Jupiter, giving him two male children who are heirs to the throne.  The Vertex in this marriage chart is trine Mars and Jupiter, giving a similar energy signature.

In addition the antiVertex is conjunct the Part of Fortune, suggesting considerable benefits from this union.

To my great interest the duad of the Vertex is 0Virgo43, conjunct the natal Vertex of  William’s grandmother,  Queen Elizabeth ll This suggests a destined connection between this marriage and Her Majesty.

In August the transiting North Node will conjunct the marriage Vertex in the 5th house.  This can be a very fertile period particularly as it is also trine Jupiter, the ruler of the 5th house of children.  If her own natal chart agrees, this is a time when Catherine can become pregnant.

By Solar Arc the Vertex moves to conjunct the North Node in  two years and as the North Node is also square the Moon during this period, I think it will be an important time in their lives.

The Moon

is 26 degrees into the sign of Pisces and is in the Capricorn duad of Pisces.  The Moon in Pisces in the 9th house describes the global interest in the wedding and the huge amount of media televising and photographing the wedding party and ceremony. This was further emphasised by the Moon in applying conjunction to Uranus – the planet of broadcasting and media!  As a Pisces-Capricorn combination is one of the signatures of structured music, the Capricorn duad of Pisces describes the beautiful classical and ceremonial music sung during and after the ceremony.

The Moon at ‘the bendings’ i.e. square its nodal axis, further increased public attention!

The Moon in Pisces is noted for its compassion and in the Capricorn duad of Pisces in the 9th house this compassion will be structured into work for charities and institutions on an international level.

There is some discussion about this Moon being ‘void of course’, but of course  it isn’t!   It makes three applying aspects before leaving Pisces; a quindecile to Saturn, a bi novile to Pluto and a parallel to Mercury.  It also makes an out of sign applying conjunction to Uranus in Aries.

The closest applying aspect is the quindecile to an angular, exalted Saturn in Libra.  I think this aspect describes the smooth flow of the wedding , where everything went to schedule and on time.  The quindecile aspect is noted for focus and obsession so I think this describes the intense focus of  ‘practice makes perfect’ for the wedding.

The novile aspects describe initiations and the Moon in applying binovile to Pluto certainly describes a very intense ‘initiation’ into public life and dealing with matters of power and status.

The applying parallel of declination to Mercury conjunct MC describes the considerable amount of public communication involved in the wedding.  This aspect suggests the couple will have considerable communication with the public throughout their marriage.

The Moon is also applying to Uranus.  As mentioned before, this planet rules all things electronic, including broadcasting and media, so this conjunction is very appropriate.  In the marriage chart the Moon-Uranus suggests that this couple will make a number of changes in international charities (Pisces) as well as sponsor and possibly spearhead new concepts (Aries) on a global level.  These new projects will likely be practical because the Moon is in the Capricorn duad of Pisces and long lasting because Uranus is in the Taurus duad of Aries.

The Moon will be receiving a quincunx aspect from Saturn from December 2011 – late August 2012.  This can be a stressful time for the couple as it suggests to me a period where official duties require discipline and flexibility.  It could also be a time during which they are periodically separated because of Prince William’s responsibilities.

In October-December 2012 transiting North Node will trine the Moon, bringing happy associations, beneficial unions – and perhaps an addition to the family!

Saturn

In any chart to do with the Royal Family Saturn can’t be overlooked as the orientation of this family is to duty.  True to form, this marriage chart has an exalted Saturn retrograde and conjunct the IC, suggesting duty will be very important to this couple and the marriage itself will have considerable duties.   The retrograde suggests these duties are connected to the past – or in this case, tradition.  By Solar Arc Saturn will conjunct the IC in March 2o12, suggesting a time where duty reigns supreme.

Generally Saturn will work very well as it is in Libra, its exalted sign  and in the duad of Aquarius, its sign of dignity.  With this combination  and the social position of this couple, it will almost certainly work as large scale humanitarian projects and gives the ability to organize structures involving groups of people.  True to William and Catherine’s university education, it is an intellectual degree that can produce flashes of brilliance.

Unfortunately Venus is in applying opposition to Saturn and this will give periods of separation.  In December 2012 secondary progressed Venus will oppose natal Saturn and in March solar arc Venus will oppose natal Saturn so it is likely to be a difficult period for William and Catherine involving someone connected to the family.   It is possible that during 2013  a person of status within the family will be ill or perhaps even die.

Mars-Jupiter conjunction

What a wonderful energy to have in a marriage chart.  It is particularly beneficial because Mars in the ruler of the MC, the angle of status !  It gives success, creative power, organising talents and is wonderful for both marriage and birth.  It is lucky and helps the couple make very good decisions.  It is further enhanced by a trine to the Vertex and North Node giving very happy associations with others.   To make it even more fortunate is is conjunct the Sun of the chart for the United Kingdom, giving this couple a very strong tie to their country.  This connection was clearly shown on the day of the marriage with the whole of the United Kingdom showing their delight in the marriage and joining in the celebrations.

This conjunction is on the Sun/Uranus midpoint and as the Sun is the ruler of the Ascendant and Uranus the ruler of the Descendant,  increases the good fortune even further.  This combination can be very lucky indeed, though at times a little accident prone.

The conjunction is also on the Pluto/Ascendant midpoint, showing a favourable turn of circumstances in life.  Well, Catherine has moved from being a middle class ‘commoner’ to a princess of the realm!

In 2018-2020 Solar Arc and secondary Progressed MC is conjunct radix Mars-Jupiter, suggesting a time of increase in status and good fortune.  It 2028-2029 Solar Arc Mars-Jupiter conjunct radix Sun, suggesting considerable prominence and advancement in life for the couple.

Chiron-Neptune conjunction

The Magi astrologers call this ‘The Cinderella Aspect’ and it is considered very, very favourable for long term happiness in a marriage.  It is a little out of the maximum three degree orb so theoretically it is not all that influential, but in real life this is exactly what has happened – Catherine has been turned into a princess by her marriage to her prince!

Neptune is on the Sun/Vertex and Jupiter/Pluto midpoint, further enhancing its success.  Neptune squares the Moon/Ascendant midpoint of 0Gemini34 again suggesting the massive film and media attention, but this midpoint can give susceptibility to ‘poisoning’ so perhaps the huge amount of gossip can be at times overwhelming.

The Midheaven

In matters to do with goals, status and career the MC is the point of focus.  True to such a huge event the MC in the marriage chart is highly activated.

It has a conjunction with Venus, indicating matters to do with love and marriage are in focus.  It has a conjunction with Mercury, indicating matters to do with communication are emphasised.  It has an opposition to Saturn indicating matters to do with duty, responsibility and structure are important.

The Midheaven also carries several midpoint structures:

There is MC = Jupiter/Uranus of which the classic textbook description is “a fortunate turn in life”.  This will continue to bring good fortune to the couple.

MC = Mercury/Venus – the ‘Combination of Stellar Influences’ describes this as ‘lighthearted living’  and connects the couple to artists and writers.

MC = Ascendant/Vertex.  These three important angles in a midpoint structure suggests a moment of destiny.

As the MC moves through the chart by secondary progression and solar arc it will time important events in the life of this marriage.  I have mentioned many of these times in this article and there is one other.   When Solar Arc Uranus conjuncts radix MC and opposes radix Saturn in November 2021 there will be a very important change,   what it is remains to be seen as there are several possibilities and Uranus always brings the unexpected.  It is likely to bring a change of occupation and/or a sudden rearrangement of circumstances.

The female cadet who has used  the pseudonym of ‘Kate’  had no idea she was being filmed and was horrified and totally humiliated when she found out.  She reported all the men to her superiors, but when she realised that they were only going to receive a slap on the wrist, went public on Channel 10 on the 5th April 2011.

Since then several other former members of the Armed forces have come forward with even more horrific tales of individual and gang rape and without exception were told to ‘suck it up’; no disciplinary action was taken on the perpetrators.

To make it worse  ‘Kate’ was told she had to make a public apology to her fellow cadets and the Armed Forces for going public with the incident.  Fortunately the Defence Minister, Stephen Smith, nipped that in the bud before it happened.

As Kate had no idea she was being filmed and this intrusion was entirely against her wishes it is possible that the perpetrator can be charged with rape and receive an automatic discharge from the Forces.  In my opinion neither the perpetrator nor those who observed the event are suitable to be officers in the Australian Armed Forces purely because they showed no loyalty to a comrade in arms.

We don’t have Kate’s date or place of birth so one can only speculate that she recently received a Pluto transit which is now being activated by the Mars-Uranus conjunction.

Parallax New Moon

In any public matters connected to a nation the lunation before the event as well as the Parallax Lunar return of the nation’s chart will often show triggers.

The Parallax New Moon for Canberra is on the 4th April 2011 at 0:08:37 am, Canberra, Australia.

The scandal broke the day after, on the 5th April.

The Parallax New Moon chart shows Saturn, the ruler of the Ascendant,  exactly conjunct the MC and opposing the New Moon at 13Aries28 conjunct the IC.   From this it is easy to deduce that serious matters would be considered this month.  The opposition suggests conflict which needs to be negotiated (Saturn in Libra, the sign of negotiation) .   We know that these matters would be difficult because this configuration is square the Part of Catastrophe at 14Capricorn16 and that they would have a powerful effect because Saturn is conjunct the Part of Destiny.  In addition the New Moon is conjunct the Part of Torture – so, as the New Moon is angular,  someone’s torture is being made public!  (as an aside, the torture of David Hicks in Guatantanamo Bay  is also being publically mentioned again )

Obviously with Saturn conjunct MC, some of these matters would be connected to the party in power and our Prime Minister, so where do the Armed Forces show?

I think it partly shows with Hades on the cusp of the Koch 6th house of Armed Forces.  In Placidus Hades is in the 6th house with the South Node conjunct the 6th cusp.  The sexual scandal is shown through the Sun, ruler of the 8th house, angular and opposing Saturn.

Australia Swearing In (1st January 1901, 1.35.01 pm, Sydney Australia) and Parallax New Moon for 4th April 2011

Saturn-MC of the Parallax New Moon is in the radix 6th house of the Swearing-In chart for Australia, suggesting an Armed Forces involvement.  The New Moon itself is in the radix 12th house, suggesting something secret is being exposed.  Likewise, the exact Mars-Uranus conjunction in the New Moon chart is on the 12th cusp of the radix chart; this can be interpreted as a sudden or even violent exposure of a secret.

Also notice transiting Pluto conjunct Australia’s radix Saturn!  This is a big transit that throughout  its duration  is likely to change the laws of Australia and Australia’s connection to foreign countries.

Parallax Lunar Returns

I find these returns generally very accurate indeed.

The Parallax Lunar Return for the Swearing-In chart for Australia was on the 11th March 2011, 0:34:16 am, Sydney, Australia.  This  has the the Nodal axis straddling the Ascendant-Descendant together with Hades on the Descendant, just in the 6th house.  From this we know matters to do with groups would be prominent this month and, because the 6th house is involved, groups to do with public service.

Mars is conjunct the IC, which suggests that the armed forces might be in the news.  - As Mars is in Pisces I would have expected the navy to be up front and center and indeed, this scandal is on the shirt tales of a much worse navy scandal that has re-entered the news because of the event we are discussing.

What is particularly interesting is the MC of the Lunar Return is in exact conjunction with radix Mars, ruler of the radix Ascendant!  This again suggests the Armed Forces involvement.  Mars is also ruler of the radix 12th cusp, so this is bringing secrets to the fore.

The LR MC is also square Venus, ruler of the 6th house of Armed Forces.  Venus is in the radix 8th house so this too suggests a possible sex scandal.   I think the radix Venus square Mars from the 8th to 5th houses makes Australia vulnerable to sex scandals whenever it is triggered by transit, progressions, directions, lunations and returns.

Other factors in this Lunar Return show:

Lunar Return Uranus conjunct radix 12th cusp – sudden exposure of a secret.
LR Nodes straddling radix 3rd-9th cusp – the extensive reporting of the situation
LR Ascendant-Node conjunct radix Chiron –  a wound being exposed.

This Lunar Return is waxing and this suggests the matter continues to grow.  The Moon is moving towards South Node-Hades so I think more hell and wickedness in the armed forces will be exposed during this month.

Though not exact, please notice the Moon-Vertex configuration in the Lunar Return.  This suggests a woman would be in powerful focus this month.

Also interesting is that the Lunar Return MC is conjunct the fixed star Zosma, which, in the Solar Fire report, is described as “A Victim or a Saviour”.  ’Kate’ has certainly been a victim, but through her actions and the resulting publicity, may also be the saviour of many women in the Armed Forces.

It is likely that heads will roll as a result of this incident and information from others who have come forward with their stories. Hopefully this will help the Armed Forces adjust to understanding that women in the services require just as much loyalty from their comrades in arms as men and that sexual harassment will carry severe penalties.

Kung Hei Fat Choy, Everyone!

Time once again for the Chinese New Year. Of course, it hardly seems appropriate to send salutations given what is about to befall Queensland, but I can tell you there are better times ahead. What a year the Iron Tiger brought us! It has been a year of extremes in many ways and of many things done on a big scale, both human and natural, beneficent and disastrous. One would expect no less from the Iron Tiger – or any Tiger for that matter. We might be wooed into thinking, then, that the year to come would just have to be better, right? Rabbits are so cute and gentle, soft and unassuming, are they not? Doesn’t that mean that this will be a gentler year? Alas, ‘tis not to be! Rabbits on the whole are a gentler expression than Tigers to be sure, but Iron Rabbits? – well, just don’t back one into a corner. You might just get the shock of your life, much like the knights in Monty Python and the Holy Grail did at the Cave of Caerbannog. That was a white (Iron) rabbit – and we all know what happened there!

In all seriousness, though, as for the year ahead, lest one really believes the Rabbit to be meek and retiring, a look at past Iron Rabbit years reveals a different story. Rabbits are fighters for the underdog and are very brave in the face of danger. Typically, one sees uprisings against social injustice in such years (1951, 1891, 1831, 1771) and with the state of the world at the moment we can see that may well be the case this time around, too. Just look at what is taking place in Egypt at the moment, as a point of reference. We will look more fully at the characteristics of Rabbits and at the year ahead a bit later. Without further ado, however, what follows is the tale of the Iron Rabbit (I wrote this story a while back, before I knew about Yasi):

The rabbit in the burrow

There are times when one just simply has to sit and rethink one’s life.  Life on the plain had been a mixed blessing in the past year, with times of plenty and periods of great difficulty. There was more grass and food there than had been the case in years due to good falls of rain, yet at times there had been too much rain and the animals who lived below ground had really suffered as a result of the wild swings in weather and resultant floods. A storm was approaching from the west on this particular day and the slate-colored clouds and the winds that bore them made the air heavy with moisture. As the pressure dropped at the face of the approaching storm front the animals of the plain began to seek shelter from the weather to come. In the distance the sky lit up with dazzling displays of lightning and the low rumble of thunder in the distance bade an ominous welcome to all who ventured out in the darkening afternoon. The White Rabbit sat at the entrance to her burrow, her body composed like a statue as she concentrated on the events unfolding around her, her nostrils flaring as she sniffed the air, shivers of anxious excitement occasionally undermining her otherwise focused mien.

The White Rabbit was especially vigilant as she watched the storm approach, as some members of her litter were still out foraging and she grew increasingly worried. Fortunately they did not have to venture far from the burrow, as there was plenty of good growth to go around. Still, a mother worries about her charges, and she had a larger than usual litter this year due to good food supplies. As a result, though, the predators of the region had been more active as well because there was more for them to choose from, too. Fortunately, today the White Rabbit did not have to worry about dangers from overhead. The winds had become too strong and the birds had sought the safety of their roosts an hour before. There were still weasels and foxes to deal with, however, and the storm was getting too close. Weasels had been a particular problem that year, as they liked to invade the warrens in search of their prey, and the White Rabbit had seen a couple of them in the area earlier in the day. She wanted her kits at home. Enough was enough – the White Rabbit began to thump out her alarm, and one by one her one young ones raced into the burrow.

She and her mate had made their present burrow and connecting warrens on higher ground to avoid the floods that had occasioned the plain that year, but that made them more vulnerable to detection from predators. The other Rabbits in her area had done the same, except for a few that were too afraid of detection. Some families that year had been completely wiped out by either weasels or floods, sometimes both, and there was a sense of something always about to befall the ground-dwelling inhabitants of the area, even though there was a great plenty there for all. “It is strange,” the White Rabbit thought to herself. “The more one has, the greater the stress.” Life seemed to her to be a lot easier when there was not so much to go around. There were fewer mouths to feed, fewer predators, fewer worries about what to do with what they had. In times of plenty there was always something to do and less time just to sit and think about things or to enjoy family life or the beauty of the plain when there was plenty for all, and the Rabbits seemed to be much more competitive with each other, probably because there was less space for everyone and competition among the young bucks for their own mates seemed particularly fierce in times like these.

The White Rabbit remembered the earlier part of her life when she started coming into the family way. She was different from the other rabbits. Being white, she stood out from the others and she had trials aplenty as she grew up as a result. The other youngsters in the area had constantly taunted her about her appearance, calling her strange and that her mother had obviously had relations with someone other than her ‘supposed’ father. What did the others know of genes, anyway? Apparently, there had been other White Rabbits in the family line, as her mother had related to her time and again, and they had a proud history, being known as some of the smartest and bravest in the area. That made no difference to the other rabbits and they were merciless in their taunting, probably because they had heard the truth and wanted keep the White Rabbit in her place, secretly hoping she would not outdo them later in life. Their taunts had toughened her and made her smart, though, making her think of ways to outdo her rivals and prove her mettle and heritage. Alas, their fears finally came to pass, as the White Rabbit’s main suitor in her early years was an alpha buck who had also heard the stories about her lineage and was intrigued by her, not wanting to settle for some run-of-the-mill doe from the crowd of young hopefuls. That alpha buck was her mate to that day, as they had bonded for life and had raised many litters together – some of them with White Rabbits, too.

Her mate was nowhere to be seen that afternoon. Where was he? Had he been taken by a hawk earlier in the day, or encountered a wild dog or fox? It wasn’t one of the weasels she had seen earlier, as weasels usually went after the young, and they would be no match for her big alpha buck in a one-on-one fight. She had once seen her mate go up against a weasel who was foolish enough to enter one of their burrows when he was close by. It was a sight to behold and her mate was a ferocious opponent, sending the seriously wounded weasel packing in no time. When he was courting her she had also seen him go up against other rabbits who were trying to woo her and he had trounced them all, inflicting serious injuries on a few. She had never worried about him being out on his own. He had always been close by, had been good with the kits and had consistently shown he could take care of himself. Perhaps it was the approaching storm that was affecting her and making her uneasy, but today she was worried about him. It was not like him not to answer an alarm.

The White Rabbit’s fears were soon to be allayed, as before too long the remainder of her litter finally straggled in, followed immediately by her mate, who had been bringing up the rear and corralling all the strays. He had run off one of the weasels in the process, too, as it had been stalking one of the kits, hoping for a last-second meal before the storm hit and hoping as a bonus to have his repast in one of the burrows in the area. Her family all finally together, she could breathe a sigh of relief and make final preparations for the storm bearing down on the plain. There was much to be done. Entrances had to be sealed, the younger kits had to be put in the main chamber, the older kits had to organize food and calm the younger ones who did not really understand what was about to happen. They had prepared well, for they had seen the havoc wrought by previous floods and had stored food away for such times. Having a larger clan now it was easier to prepare for the hard times.

“Much can be accomplished at home with the aid of family,” the White Rabbit thought to herself. “Success is not gauged by the number of possessions, but by cooperation.” When they all pitched in the results were just amazing to all of them. They knew the number of possessions was not the measure of their success, as they had seen all that they had worked for washed away in previous floods. Possessions meant little when they could be taken away in an instant. What mattered most was that they were together and had made a success of things together. This time, though, they had learned the secret of surviving the flood and they had stored away not just food, but stones and straw to plug the entrances of the burrows and keep the water out. Valuable resources are put to good use, and they had learned valuable lessons from past hardship. Some of the other rabbits of the plain were not so diligent or smart, however, and the White Rabbit worried for their safety. They had been warned, though. Perhaps they would follow her and her family’s example after this.

Finally, the rain started to fall. It was to be a heavy downpour and the flood waters would lap at the entrances of the burrows, but they were safely plugged with the stones, straw and earth that had been stored just inside the burrow, just for such an emergency. The White Rabbit and her clan were safe and sound, now. Her cousins and friends in the connecting warrens were the same, as they had followed the White Rabbit’s advice and example. Hopefully the weasel had been washed into the gullies below the plain, never to be seen again. Hopefully those less fortunate on the plain had made it through the flood without incident, but she feared the worst. In the end, though, her family was safe and prospering, as well as her friends and cousins. They had all learned valuable lessons in cooperation through their hardship on the plains and life was much better for them as a result. . Everyone on the plain had learned that a White Rabbit is nobody’s fool, certainly no pushover, but always the best sort of friend to have around.

There is something quite magical about our friend the Rabbit. They are social and great conversationalists. They are the alchemists and healers of the Chinese zodiac. The most unassuming of types, they are always very much aware of what goes on around them, especially when it comes to people’s motives. The Rabbit’s great sensitivity and easy-going nature often conceals a very clever and deft mind. You never really know what they are thinking. The Rabbit in the Four Pillars grants one the ability to divine the social scene and the prevailing consciousness of the public. As such, Rabbits make brilliant actors and politicians, for the Rabbit can take on a role very well. Thus, they can appear as a sort of everyman, with whom the public easily identifies and empathizes. Examples of such, especially among Iron Rabbits, are St. Jeanne d’Arc, Lewis Carroll, Albrecht Durer (painter, printmaker and theorist), Richard Burton, L. Ron Hubbard, James Madison, Augustus Caesar, Marion Davies, Ulysses Grant, Grace Kelley and Lynn Redgrave, to name a few.

Dreams are especially important to them and their dreams can be quite prophetic, for the Rabbit is a prophet and a seer if their insights are given heed. Rabbits find the mysteries of love to be a great turn-on. Love can be a quest for them, the magical alchemical formula that will transform their life. The Rabbit is exemplary of yin Wood (their native Element). They like ‘inner space’ and can create huge mental vistas. They are very good at visualization and they are usually quite visionary. Perhaps one of the more notable Iron Rabbits, especially in terms of breadth of vision and the courage to put it across, can be found in the personage of Helena Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society – a true visionary, rebel, iconoclast, fighter against entrenched orthodoxy and just all-around great character. She was born and died in Iron Rabbit years, 60 years of age when she passed on to greater service.

Iron Rabbit years also produce great inventors and some very life-changing inventions – the first commercial computer, the first electric transformer, the microphone and the typewriter, the patenting of radio, the transistor, the kinetoscope, the first thermonuclear (H-bomb) test, the first long-range AC power lines and the first LP record (remember those?). Some of the great inventors and scientists born in those years are the likes of E.I. Dupont (chemist), Alois Senefelder (lithography), Thomas Wedgwood (1^st photographer), James Clerk Maxwell (physicist), David Edward Hughes (inventor), George Pullman (inventor and industrialist), John Northrup (biochemist), Walther Bothe (physicist) and James Chadwick (physicist).

Unfortunately, there tend to be great floods in such years, too, as well as rail (Metal) and sea disasters. We just saw a rail disaster in Germany, which is usually unheard of in a country renowned for its love of precision and scheduling. Metal feeds water in the Five Element system, so expect to see more extremes of weather, such as the Great US Blizzard of 1891, the Great Flood of ‘51 (US), the Po River floods in Italy and the Tyne Floods of 1771 (Britain). Thus, we see that we cannot think the worst is over in terms of weather. With weather patterns in mind, we need to have a look at what yin Metal actually rules and means in a Four Pillars chart.

Yin Metal rules the lungs in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). The Lung Official (the TCM name for Yin Metal) is called the ‘Controller of Receiving Pure Chi from the Heavens’. Its associated Animal Sign is the Rooster, though in this case it is the ‘master’ of the Rabbit Year. The lung as an organ is said to take in the quality of the heavens. Rooster types can produce the most sublime work – very polished and finished. Metal Rabbits do the same along their own line. The lungs bestow quality to the system – value, life, vitality, brilliance and self-esteem – inspiration. They revitalize the system by taking in pure chi from the surroundings. In refined Metal types there is always a quality of purity about to whatever they set their hand. Metal confers or is the seat of the animal soul, the anima mundi, which animates all material existence. The lungs also confer the ability to receive and welcome, hence the association of Metal with ‘front men’. Many great orators and those of ‘vocal occupations’ have Metal dominant in their makeup.

The skin and the body hair are the primary indicators of lung function. The lungs open into the nose and healthy Metal chi gives one the ability to ‘take it on the nose’ (chin) and keep on going in the face of any difficulty. Deficient lung chi weakens the entire system because the system is thus starved of air. So, in Yin Metal years people are after quality of life, and not quantity. The lungs govern the voice, and in Yin Metal years the populace can get very vocal. We are seeing that in Tunisia and Egypt at this moment in history. Therefore, with the fact that Metal governs the finer things in life and the ability of people to stand up and be heard, one would expect that a great many good things will come of this year, too, and one would expect that in the arena of social reforms and great inventions.

There have been many uprisings in Iron Rabbit years. In 1951 we saw the NZ waterfront strikes, the start of the Korean conflict, the dismissal of General McArthur, the ANZUS Treaty, to name a few; the Chilean Civil War, the Portuguese Revolution, the May Day Massacre in France, all of 1891; revolts in Italy, the Bosnian Uprising, Nat Turner’s slave rebellion, the Merthyr Rising of coal miners, Polish revolutionaries and the Battle of Warsaw, and the banning of slave trading in Brazil, all in 1831, and last but neither least nor inclusive, the War of the Regulation in my home state of North Carolina in 1771. This will be a year that ushers in a period of great change, and sets the scene for 2012. Metal years are times when the populace stands up, especially in yin years, as yin has a lot to do with inner strength ad fortitude.

Who knows what this year will bring? If you want an idea of what, let your imagination roam free and remember the words of Lewis Carroll:

“Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast!”

So, to see what we might expect and what we have to deal with coming into this year, let us have a look at what last year brought us, and how that forecast panned out:

• economic unrest 100 Billion Euro bailout package for Greece, the French riots over the retirement age, British students rioting over university fees
• mid-year looks to be fairly unstable and volatile, especially politically and economically. Again, the Greek bailout, bloody military crackdown in Thailand, Israel and the Gaza blockade, ethnic riots in Kyrgyzstan, floods in Pakistan.
• elections, especially in the US and Australia, will be very hotly contested and the conservative elements in those countries will be out in force. The Tea Party in the US and the conservative backlash throughout the world, most notably in the US and Australia. Hung parliaments/congresses as a result.
  • uprisings up against injustice, and this year will see that magnified. This is the last roar of the Iron Tiger, but built in strength all year, most notably in Tunisia and Egypt.
  • strong alliances formed on both sides. We can expect the same sorts of things this year as well. The big difference between this year and past Iron Tiger years is the ubiquity of the internet, however. It is not so easy to keep things secret these days. We have seen this in the arena of politics especially.
  • big challenges to privacy and legislation for privacy this year. Wikileaks
  • expect new security measures to come out as well as increased attempts at hacking,

inventions and new ways of doing things The shutdown of the Iranian nuclear sites’ computers, we finally trapped antimatter at the CERN reactor, the Neanderthal genome findings (we interbred with them, most likely), the first functional synthetic genome

• There were also particularly deadly air crashes, natural and man-made disasters last year, most notably the Pakistan floods, Deepwater Horizon, mining disasters in Chile, New Zealand and China, the Iceland volcano, floods in Brazil and Queensland, and so forth.

With the preceding in mind, what does the Four Pillars chart for this year show us?

When the Heavens seem to alter their course, Great Ones are called to right it. 3Feb Daytime (For East Asia, Oceania and Australasia)

To start with, we see primarily that this will be a yin year. Three of the four Pillars are yin. One should never underestimate yin in terms of its power, especially in terms of sustained effort and inner strength. If one doubts the strength of all things yin, consider this: Without any one of the single or pairs of yin organs in the body (heart, spleen, lungs, kidneys or liver) death occurs fairly quickly. True, one can live without a spleen, but without any one the others, one would pass away within a matter of minutes or hours. On the other hand, one could live for days without intestines, a stomach, a bladder or gall bladder. Of course they are all essential for quality of life, but the yin organs are the ones that sustain us primarily. In the yin/yang system yin is the foundation from which all things arise. Yang gives structure and protects yin, whereas yin fills yang and gives it sustenance. So, in yin years we are looking at what sustains us, whereas in yang years, such as last year, we are looking at the structure of things and our protective mechanisms. Our structures were shaken in a big way last year.

From some of my previous writings on the matter, Yang Metal concerns the following: It is said to carry away the impurities…, leaving us clean and brilliant. Brilliance is a term often associated with Metal. Yang Metal gives one the ability to let go and to move on. It is said to be the beginning of change and it allows energy to flow and move.  …is said to be like the officials who propagate the right way of living (the Tao), thus generating change and evolution. This quality of ‘propagating the right way of living’ is what makes Metal types such good technicians and technical people because they restore order to systems that are otherwise either not working or are totally broken down. A good technician can also take a system that is deficient or already good and completely transform it into something even better. Last year initiated sweeping changes and purged us of impurities in a way, clearing the way for bigger changes this year. This year we will finesse the changes started last year and find our strengths. Being a Rabbit year, we will do so in the way of alchemical process in a way. How will that happen? I hear a song arising: To dream the impossible dream….

What do I expect to see this year? Not so much polarization. That has already happened. Dictators are on notice. Old regimes know their days are numbered. Regimes that lived by the sword or the iron fist (yang Metal) will either have to greatly moderate their approach or give way completely. There is no way the old guard in Egypt will stay in power, for instance. The opposition is motivated by young, energetic, highly intelligent, yet dispossessed youth who simply want a fair shake of the sauce bottle, as we have recently heard the turn of phrase used here. It is not a fundamentalist uprising, and we see great encouragement in that. In democracies regimes are not so pronounced, as the populace votes very few years and politicians are constantly on notice and in the public eye. I see sweeping change being instigated throughout the Middle East this year. Egypt and Tunisia will set the tone. If it goes well in those countries, then the regimes in places such as Pakistan and Iran and the old monarchies in places like Saudi Arabia will have to take a close look and should  consider themselves to be on notice. A hungry or disaffected populace is a powerful force for change. China has already put changes in place, but it has massive problems within its own boarders and that will take many years to sort out. China is not the world’s problem, at least at the moment. Russia will be an interesting one to watch, as its government has taken a step toward the old ways in recent years and is seeing the results of some of its policies in bombings and the like. I see change coming there, too, as its people have suffered a long time and are ready for a better quality of life.

Speaking of technology, the uprising in Egypt is an interesting case in point. Sixty years ago there were no computers – no Facebook or Twitter, no blogs or discussion pages. The youth there have rallied themselves and others through the internet. It has happened quickly and it is relatively well organized. The same thing happened with Obama during his campaign. Technology will have a big role to play in social change this time around. It will be fascinating to watch. We already see this sort of thing in the likes of Wikileaks and other whistle-blowers using the internet. So, yes – social unrest, even revolutions or civil wars, driven or organized through the internet or phone networks will become increasingly evident as the year goes on. Worker’s rights and financial overhaul will be high on the agenda this year. It has been so in on the last four Iron Rabbit years I looked at. Simple human decency and the will toward a better quality of life will be the driving forces behind these changes. After all, the Rabbit is a gentle creature and wants to live free, but it will fight ferociously if it has to. Perhaps we may even see an end to hostilities on the Korean peninsula.

We will see further natural purges this year, unfortunately for those who have to live through them. The land and seas are trying to right themselves and the elements are seeking a better balance. If one thinks this to be fanciful thinking, then just try to live for a while with one’s own elements out of kilter. Try living without water for a day, for instance, or in dirty air. The Earth is an organism and esoterically its functioning is governed by great devic/angelic lives that work with the elemental forces of the world. So, we will see further flooding, powerful storms, as well as rail and shipping (Metal) disasters this year. Some of those will be caused by nature, and some by human activity.

There will be advances in surgery this year. Rabbits are the healers of the Chinese zodiac and Iron Rabbit years bring advances in the surgical arts. We should also see fundamental advances in technology – I am talking society-changing stuff here. The transistor and the transformer, both Iron Rabbit creations, forever changed the way we lived and related. The visionary aspects of the Rabbit come through technology in Iron Rabbit years, and the children born this year carry the seeds of visionary change within them. Some great actors and politicians, scientists and inventors will be born in the next twelve months, people who will heal us, make us think, give us the keys to wider living and show us that there is something more than material life in this world. We will be shaken and forever changed for the better this year, in ways that we cannot even fathom at the moment. Oh, and don’t be at all surprised if you start hearing official announcements about UFOs this year (no, I’m not kidding).

We have a lot to look forward to in the coming year. We also have a lot of healing to do. Our neighbors need us now as never before. As I write this Cyclone Yasi is about to reach landfall in Queensland. Some people have dubbed the storm ‘Australia’s Katrina’. I hope that is not the case. I also hope that our friends and readers there have gotten themselves safely out of harm’s way. It is a year in which we stand to gain much by communal and collective effort, and in ways not seen before. Queensland has seen the brunt of some harsh natural forces in the past month and there is a lot of rebuilding to do, as well as a national communal effort to rebuild the place. Whatever happens this year in whatever part of the world, may it be a catalyst for a better way of living in the years to come, and may we learn our lessons well. Most of all, there should be a more concerted effort toward social conscience, rather than people just practicing random acts of kindness. After all, the Rabbit is a compassionate soul and wants only to live in harmony with others and their surroundings. They all go by the slogan, “Make love, not war”, but they will go to war if it means your betterment. And if the world just seems a bit mad to you these days, just remember the words of Alice to the Cheshire Cat:

“‘But I don’t want to go among mad people,’ said Alice.

‘Oh, you can’t help that,’ said the cat. ‘We’re all mad here.’ ”

There is a thin line between madness and brilliance. Let us pray we see peaceful change this year and a bright future at the end of it. Heaven knows we can use it!

It is a beautiful and scientific description of the resonance of the universe from a vast scale to  within a minute scale.

Vast areas of Southern and Central Queensland were affected by the flood. About 300 roads were closed, including nine major highways. Coal railway lines were closed and numerous mine sites flooded. The floods have boosted fruit and vegetable prices. A national appeal was established on 29 December, with the state and federal governments giving AU $1 million each.

The floods were a result of heavy precipitation caused by Tropical Cyclone Tasha that combined with a trough during the peak of a La Niña event. The 2010 La Nina weather pattern, which brings wetter conditions to eastern Australia, is the strongest since 1973. Isolated flooding started across parts of the state in early December. On 24 December a monsoonal trough crossed the coast from the Coral Sea, bringing torrential rain that fell in a broad swath from the Gulf of Carpentaria to the Gold Coast. 28 December the worst of the rain had passed.

Rockhampton had nearly a week to prepare for an expected flood peak from the Fitzroy River, which courses through the centre of the city. The airport was closed on 1 January, and by 3 January the city’s air, road, and rail links to the rest of the country were completely cut off. A metal flood barrier was erected around the terminal to prevent flood-borne debris from causing damage to the structure. The Astrology

The 9 year drought-flood cycle in Australia

Astrologer Neville Lang published in the December FAA Journal (and previously in VAA Horizons 2003) that he has discovered how to map the drought-flood cycle of Australia.

When the North Node is in high Southern Declination we have floods and when it is in high Northern Declination we have droughts!

At the moment the North Node is in high Southern Declination and in longitude conjunction with Pluto, giving extreme weather.  The declination of the North Node is 23S24  and Pluto is 18S49.  This  is practically overhead the latitude of Northern Queensland with Rockhampton itself having  a latitude of 23S22.  Latitude on Earth is the same as Declination in the skies.

Eclipse triggers

Lunations are used extensively in weather forecasting and eclipses are noted for triggering important events particularly if they are conjunct a planet.  If conjunct an outer planet (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto etc., ) they can trigger extreme events.

The total lunar eclipse on the 21st December 2010 was an extremely powerful trigger.   As this was a total eclipse it  was  conjunct and parallel the nodal axis and this, coupled with the longitude conjunction to Pluto,  acerbated the flooding  particularly as  its declination was also overhead Northern Queensland.  (Click to enlarge chart)

In weather astrology the lunation IC  and aspects to it can often describe the type of weather for the next fortnight or so.  Pluto is square the MC-IC axis in the eclipse chart for Rockhampton, Queensland,  increasing the likelihood of extreme weather and  flooding in this whole area.

It is also interesting that the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Pisces is near the MC, with Uranus also parallel the IC.     This too suggests unusual weather and in Pisces,  flooding.

Declinations

This is the declinations for the total lunar Eclipse of 21st December 2010.  You can see that the Ascendant, South Node and Moon are all parallel in Northern Declination, and the Descendant, North Node, Sun and Mars are all parallel at 22 degrees 58 minutes to 23 degrees 59 minutes  Southern Declination, with this declination overhead the worst of the flooded areas in Queensland.  (Click graph to enlarge it)

Queensland was officially declared a colony on the 6th June 1859, at Brisbane, Australia.  I do not have the time of the declaration so have prepared the chart for midnight on that day.

You can see that the Moon position of the lunar eclipse is conjunct Mars-Jupiter in the colony chart.  This is in the 4th house of land.  Any Jupiter involvement expands a situation and in this case it expanded the flooding indicated by the eclipse.

The lunar eclipse Jupiter-Uranus is conjunct Queensland’s natal Neptune in Pisces.   Neptune in Pisces would give a predisposition to flooding at times and the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction triggered extreme flooding.

Declinations

Here is the declination map.  Queensland is on the left and the Lunar Eclipse on the right. click graph to enlarge.

You can see that in addition to the eclipse Jupiter-Uranus conjoining Queensland’s Neptune, it is in parallel of declination with  its Neptune and Pluto, further intensifying the power of the situation.

The eclipse Ascendant-South Node – Moon  is parallel Queensland’s Sun-IC-Jupiter-Mars.  This also suggests extreme weather for Queensland during the lunar eclipse cycle.

The Brisbane Floods of  1974

On the 29th January 1974, with the water reaching its peak at 2.15 am,  the Brisbane river broke its banks and flooded the city of Brisbane.  Fourteen people lost their lives and damage was estimated at $200 million.  You can read more on Wikepedia

Again we have the North Node in high Southern Declination at 23S25 and again we have a node conjunct a planet, in this case, Saturn.

This is the synastry of  Queensland and the Brisbane flood

This time the flood’s  Descendant, South Node and Saturn are conjunct Queensland’s 4th house Mars-Jupiter and the Flood’s Uranus is in Queensland’s 8th house, quincunx it’s Neptune – perhaps describing the loss of life.

Declinations

We can again see strong declination contacts, with the North Node in high Southern Declination parallel the MC of the Queensland chart.  Brisbane Flood Saturn-Descendant-South Node is parallel Queensland’s Vertex-Sun-IC-Jupiter and Mars.

The Solar eclipse on 25th December 1973 acted as a trigger for this event.

The interesting thing in this synastry is the eclipse MC-IC straddling Queensland colony’s Vertex-antiVertex and the eclipse Vertex-antiVertex straddling Queensland Colony’s  topocentric 2nd-8th house cusps in the midnight chart.

I hope this illustrates how important declinations are in determining weather cycles, and particularly how the Moon’s Nodes declination cycle is crucial in describing the cycle of floods and droughts in Australia.  I think that any time the North Node is in high Northern or Southern Declination and conjunct a planet we may experience extreme weather and further extremes if an eclipse or lunation acts as a trigger.

This activation can happen when you meet your future partner, when you get engaged or move in together and most particularly when you take your vows of marriage.

As the Ascendant describes you, in most cases the Ascendant or its ruler is also activated by a planet connected to the 7^th house.

As the Moon’s nodes describe all types of family connections, these are usually strongly accentuated when you marry and/or meet your marriage partner.

The Vertex axis is frequently activated.

Arabic Parts

The Part of Marriage:  = Ascendant +cusp of 7^th house – Venus;

Part of Marriage Women:  =  Ascendant + Venus – Saturn i.e. the position of Venus in the Saturn equilibrium chart;

or   Ascendant + Moon – Mars i.e. the position of the Moon in the Mars equilibrium chart;

The Part of marriage of Men: = Ascendant + Saturn – Venus i.e. the position of Saturn in the Venus equilibrium chart

are often activated when you get married.  These are frequently activated by the ruler of the 7^th house or a planet who resides in the 7^th house in the natal chart.

An excellent timer is the Part of Marriage Time (which is the same as the Part of Spirit):   Ascendant + Sun – Moon i.e. the position of the Sun in the Moon Equilibrium chart.

Saturn is involved because marriage is a long term commitment with responsibilities.

Prince Charles

To illustrate lets look at the chart of Prince Charles and his marriages to his first wife, Diana, and his second wife Camilla.

Prince Charles has 5Aquarius25 on the cusp of his 7^th house.  The rulers of Aquarius are Saturn and Uranus, so we would expect to find these planets activated at the time of his marriages.

We can see that his marriages are likely to be ‘destined’ as he has one of the rulers of the 7^th house, Uranus,   conjunct the antiVertex.  There are likely to be two or more marriages because Uranus is in Gemini  – a ‘multiple’ sign.

We can see that he will have pressures in his marriages which will require considerable adjustment as Saturn, the traditional ruler of the 7^th house,  is quincunx the 7^th cusp and Uranus, the modern ruler of the 7^th house, is opposite Jupiter and quincunx Chiron.  The Moon’s Nodes in square to the 7^th cusp also show tension connected to marriage.

Charles Part of Marriage is 24Scorpio27’; his Part of Marriage of Men is 25Gemini18; his Part of Marriage timer is 27Aquarius25.

Marriage to Diana

Charles married Lady Diana Spencer on the 29th July 1981 at 11.20 am , London, England.  This is the marriage chart.

There are a couple of markers of marriage here:

• Jupiter and Saturn are trine Charles Descendant.  As Saturn is ruler of his natal 7^th cusp, this is a particularly strong marker.
• Venus is conjunct Charles natal Saturn, ruler of his 7^th house.
• Neptune is conjunct Charles Vertex, indicating a matter of destiny is in play.

Primary Directions

I am using the Van Dam Primary Directions

The Primary Directions show a couple of factors:

• Uranus, the modern ruler of his natal and directed 7^th cusp, is quincunx the  7^th cusp.  The quincunx aspect often shows at times of change and adjustment, so this describes the change in his life through marriage.
• The 7^th cusp is conjunct the natal Part of Marriage Time
• The Sun is opposite the natal Part of Marriage of Men
• The Midheaven is quincunx Charles natal Venus in Libra – again indicating a time of change that influenced his career.
• The Moon is quincunx the natal South Node – perhaps indicating a relationship from a past life

The Secondary Progressed Chart also has the Descendant conjunct the Part of Marriage Time.

Charles  Tertiary Progressed Chart

Charles natal Chart on Inside Wheel; Tertiary Progressed Chart on Outside Wheel

Tertiary Progressions are often good timers for events.

• The Sun, ruler of Charles Ascendant, is conjunct the Descendant.  This certainly indicates a prominent time as the Sun is angular.  The prominence would be to do with marriage, partnership or the public as the Sun is conjunct the 7th cusp.
• The IC and Part of Fortune are conjunct Charles natal Vertex, indicating an important moment of destiny.
• The Moon is conjunct the Mean North Node at 3Taurus56.  This suggests an important period for matters to do with family.  As the Moon is involved it suggests women and the family.  A Moon-Node conjunction often describes an association with a woman.
• The MC is conjunct the Part of Marriage of Men and the Descendant is trine the Part of Marriage.

Charles and Camilla Marriage

Camilla Parker-Bowles was a long time mistress of Prince Charles.  She was unable to marry him as she was not a virgin when they met and in fact had quite a reputation!  However, they loved each other a great deal.  When Charles married Diana she faded into the background, but when this marriage was in trouble she came to the fore again.

After Charles and Diana divorced Charles prevailed on the Queen to allow him to marry Camilla, and eventually the Queen agreed.

This is their marriage chart.

• The angles of this chart echo Charles natal angles, suggesting this event feels very right.
• Mars, the ruler of the MC, is in  the 7th house, suggesting an achievement in partnership or marriage.
• Jupiter is conjunct the Libra IC,  indicating happiness in the home through marriage (Libra).
• Venus is conjunct the North Node – a lovely configuration for marriage.
• Pluto, in addition to conjoining the Vertex is opposite his natal Part of Marriage of Men.  Pluto conjunct Vertex suggests an intense, destined event.  As Pluto is ruler of Charles Scorpio Sun, this is an important configuration.
• Ceres is conjunct his natal Part of Marriage.

In the Secondary Progressed Chart for 9th April 2005, the Vertex is trine his Part of Marriage of Men and square his Part of Marriage.

In Solar Arc Directions Jupiter is conjunct his Part of Marriage time, and Uranus, the ruler of the 7th cusp, is opposite.

In Van Dam Primaries, Uranus is conjunct natal Pluto

… and so on.

Daily Age Harmonics

Here is Charles Daily Age Harmonics (DAH) for the date of his marriage to Camilla

This chart has several notable configurations:

• The DAH Descendant is 5Aquarius22, conjunct Charles natal Descendant.
• Venus, the ruler of the DAH Descendant, is conjunct DAH Moon
• Uranus, the ruler of the natal Descendant, is conjunct DAH Midheaven and both are conjunct natal Moon.
• The Ascendant is conjunct natal Part of Marriage
• The Sun-Neptune conjunction is just outside a degree orb to his Part of Marriage time.  Interestingly, Charles wanted the marriage to be the previous day, but the Pope’s funeral made this impossible.  If it had been on the 8^th, then the Sun would have been in exact opposition to the Part of Marriage time.
• The Sun-Neptune conjunction conjoins Charles Koch 2^nd house cusp.  If you have the correct house system, house cusps are often activated at the time of important events in the life.

I have used several methods of prediction to illustrate how this works.  Usually something as important as marriage is shown in almost all methods, but very often one particular method is dominant.  I have found that if you have an exact time of birth Age Harmonics and Primary directions are very accurate indicators.

Involving at least one of these factors:

The Ascendant

The Ascendant describes the physical body, so it must be activated at the time of death.

It will involve at least one of these factors:

*   The Ascending degree

*    The ruler of the Ascendant

*    Exact aspects involving the Ascendant

The 4th house

The 4^th house describes the end of  a matter and as death is the end of physical life on earth, the 4^th house must be activated.

This will involve at least one of these factors:

*   Exact aspects involving the 4^th house cusp (IC)

*   The ruler of the 4^th house

*   Planets in the 4^th house

A quincunx aspect involving these houses or their rulers

Quincunxes (150 degree aspect)  usually show at times of change in the life and death is a major change.  Here is a link to an article on the quincunx

The Part of Death

The Part of Death is Ascendant + cusp of 8^th house – Moon

Other relevant Lots are:

The Part of Fatality:  Ascendant + Saturn – Sun  i.e. the position of Saturn in the Solar Equilibrium chart.

The Part of Death 2:  Ascendant + Saturn – Moon

And other Lots that could describe the type of death  i.e. suicide; accident; disease; murder;  etc

Transits, progressions and directions

Involving at least some of the above factors will activate the possibility of death.

Yearly and Daily Age Harmonics

Are excellent timers for determining the year of death and the day of death.  Here is a link to articles on harmonics

To Illustrate I will use the death of Princess Diana on 31st August 1997; 0.27 am; Paris, France.

Princess Diana

Princess Diana strongly responds to the Regiomontanus house system, so that is the one I am using to illustrate her death.

The relevant factors in her chart are:

The 8th house cusp:   22Cancer48

The Ruler of the 8th cusp:  The Moon at 25Aquarius02

Planets in the 8th house:  Vertex; Uranus; North Node; Mars; Pluto. Uranus will be particularly strong as it is in opposition to the Moon, the ruler of the 8th house.  The nodal axis will be important as the South Node is conjunct the Moon, ruler of the 8th house.

The Ascendant: 18Sagittarius27.   And all aspects to the Ascendant by any method of prediction.

Jupiter as it is ruler of the Ascendant and also opposite the 8th house Vertex.

The 4th cusp:  23Aries06 and any aspects to this cusp by any method of prediction.

The ruler of the 4th cusp; Mars at 1Virgo39 conjunct Pluto at 6Virgo03.

Diana’s Regiomontanus Part of Death ( Ascendant + Cusp of 8th house – Moon )  is 16Taurus12; her equal house Part of Death is 11Taurus51.

Her Regiomontanus Part of Fatality ( Ascendant + Saturn – Sun)   is 6Cancer36;

her 2nd Regiomontanus  Part of  Death 2 ( Cusp of 8th house + Saturn – Moon)   is  25Gemini34 and equal house is 21Gemini13.

Her Death Point (Mars + Saturn – IC ) is 6 Gemini 24.

So we would expect quite a few of these points to be activated at the time of her death.

Chart of the Accident

This is the chart for the time of the accident.  I don’t know the time she was pronounced dead, but I think she probably died not long after this.

Notice that:

*   the Ascendant-Descendant of this time straddles her natal Ascendant-Descendant.

*  There is a Moon-Jupiter opposition straddling the IC-MC.  The Moon is ruler of her natal 8th house and Jupiter is ruler of her Ascendant.  This Moon-Jupiter-IC-MC configuration was square her Regiomontanus Part of Death at 16Taurus12.

*   Moon-Jupiter is square Diana’s Part of Accidents at 14Taurus37

*  The Vertex is conjunct her natal Neptune, ruler of her natal 3rd house of transport and vehicles.  This indicates a destined factor involving the accident.

*   Uranus is conjunct natal Jupiter, ruler of Diana’s Ascendant, indicating a sudden change in her body or environment.  As Jupiter is conjunct the antiVertex, this would involve a matter of destiny.

*   Neptune is conjunct the 9th house cusp and opposing the 3rd house cusp, indicating both the paparazzi chasing her to take photographs and the misjudgment leading to the accident.  It is also conjunct natal Saturn, suggesting a crushing factor in the accident.

*   Interestingly, Venus is conjunct Diana’s natal Part of Assassination at 15Libra51

So the chart for the accident related to Diana’s natal chart gives some indication of accident and death.

Year Age Harmonic

The Age Harmonic for the year should show if she was vulnerable accidents and/or death.  Diana was 36 years old when she died, so the 36th Harmonic is the correct age harmonic to use.  Here is a link to articles explaining harmonics

You can see that there is a strong 8th house emphasis, with the Vertex, Venus, Moon and Jupiter all in that house.  In addition the Part of Death for this chart is 6Gemini45, square the 8th house Vertex.  This is conjunct her natal ‘Death Point’ at 6 Gemini 21

When you put this Age Harmonic around the outside of Diana’s natal chart you can see some very strong connections:

Notice the Ascendant-Descendant conjunct the antiVertex in the 2nd house and therefore opposite natal Vertex in 8th house.  This suggests a year of destiny connected to her physical body.

The MC-IC is conjunct the 8th house cusp and Chiron trine.   Interestingly, Diana’s Regiomontanus Part of Murder is 22Cancer17, conjunct her natal 8th cusp and triggered by the MC-IC of this age harmonic.

The Vertex-antiVertex is conjunct natal Pluto and square the “Death Point”  of 6Gemini21. (Mars + Saturn – IC) again bringing in ‘destiny’ as a factor.

Mars is conjunct the natal 6th house cusp.

Mercury in the natal 8th house and ruler of the Age Harmonic Virgo 8th house, is quincunx the natal Moon, ruler of the natal 8th house.  So we have several factors indicating death in this configuration.

The Sun is conjunct the third house cusp and as she died as a result of a car accident this is pertinent

Ceres is conjunct the IC – and Ceres often shows up in matters to do with death.

Pluto is trine the Part of Fatality.

So the Age Harmonic for the year gave plenty of indications of possible problems.

The Daily Age Harmonic

The harmonic of 36.16547 for the day of her death is also very strong.  Her natal chart is on the inside and the Daily Age Harmonic around the outside.

This chart has Neptune conjunct the Ascendant and both conjunct the natal 3rd cusp, suggesting muddle or confusion in matters to do with travel and transport.

Daily Age Harmonic Uranus is conjunct natal 8th house Uranus, suggesting a sudden death.  DAH Jupiter is square this configuration and in quincunx to DAH Mars in the 7th.  Perhaps describing the involvement of her partner.  Both of these are square the natal Part of Danger at 23Taurus50, which in turn is conjunct natal Venus.

The Midheaven is opposite natal Moon, ruler of the 8th house.  This is further emphasised by DAH Moon squaring both.

The Sun is trine natal 8th house Vertex.

The South Node is square Ascendant.

The IC is in the 8th house and quincunx natal Moon, ruler of the 8th house.

The Descendant at 17Aquarius04 is square the Part of Death and Part of Assassination at 16Scorpio57.

So the Age Harmonic charts give rather strong indications of this event.  You can learn more about Age Harmonics here

Secondary Progressions

All forms of prediction should give at least some of the indications tabled above.  Diana’s Secondary Progressed chart has:

Mars conjunct the Regiomontanus 8th cusp – a sure indication of an operation or accident.  Interestingly it is also conjunct Secondary Progressed Part of Murder.  Mars is ruler of the natal 4th house so this placement described an end.

The Secondary Progressed Moon, ruler of the natal 8th house, is quincunx the Ascendant and Saturn.  It is also conjunct her natal 2nd Part of Death.

Mercury, ruler of the Secondary Progressed 8th cusp, is quincunx Chiron.

Solar Arcs

SA Ascendant-Descendant straddled Diana’s natal 2nd-8th cusp  and activated her Part of Murder.

SA Pluto, natally in the 8th house, is in separating square to  natal Sun.

SA  MC is square 8th house North Node

Tertiary Progressions:

Tertiary and Minor Progressions are often very good timers for an event.

Diana had TP Nodal axis straddling her 8th-2nd Vertex axis,   this showed a destined event together with another or a group of people.  TP Saturn was conjunct TP South Node and natal antiVertex – Jupiter and the TP Sun was square this configuration.  This was a very stressful combination of energies, involving fixed signs and with a strong emphasis on the 2nd-8th houses.  This whole configuration activated  the Year Age Harmonic Ascendant conjunct natal antiVertex.

In addition the TP MC was square natal Part of Death and Part of Accidents.

The Vertex was conjunct natal Neptune, ruler of the natal 3rd cusp, perhaps describing a destined accident.  TP Mars was square this configuration from the 8th house, suggesting death from an accident.

Family Members’ Charts

As an operation can show in a natal chart as a death – because part of the body is removed and dies – it is sometimes difficult to determine if the signatures described at the beginning of this article describe a death or an operation.  It is therefore important to check out the charts of close family members as the death of their loved one should be clearly shown.

The Part of Bereavement (Cusp of 12th house + ruler 12th house – Neptune) is often activated by at least one of the predictive methods shown above.

Her ex- husband: Prince Charles

Even though they were divorced Charles and Diana had two children together and because of the circumstances of their lives, were still very connected.  So I will use his chart to illustrate the astrological signatures of the death of a spouse or partner.

When looking at the chart of the spouse or partner we need to use derived charts:

*  The spouse is described by the 7th house, its ruler and planets therein.

*  The death of the spouse will involve your 2nd house, its ruler or planets therein as the 2nd house is the 8th house from the  7th.

*  It is also likely to involve your 10th house, its ruler or planets therein as your 10th house is the 4th house (the end) of your partner or spouse.

* The Part of Death is often involved.

Daily Age Harmonic

Charles Daily Age Harmonic of 48.79369  for the day of the Death of his wife  has some pertinent activations.

*  The Descendant at 22Leo29 is conjunct natal 2nd cusp and square his natal Sun at 22Scorpio25.  The Descendant describes his wife and the Sun is ruler of the 2nd house which in derived charts is the 8th house of his wife, indicating a death or trauma of some kind.  It is also conjunct Diana’s natal Uranus in her natal 8th house.

* The  Ascendant at 29Pisces37 is square natal Jupiter, describing both the tension and pressure on his sons and, as Jupiter is ruler of Diana’s Sagittarius Ascendant, tensions connected to his wife.

* The Sun, ruler of his 2nd house of the death of a spouse, is also square natal Jupiter and natal Uranus.

*  The Ascendant is square natal Uranus, ruler of his 7th house of partnerships.

* antiVertex at 24Gemini53 is conjunct Charles Saturn/MC midpoint and square his Saturn/Neptune.

* the South Node is conjunct Charles Part of Fatality at 18Taurus16;  The MC is conjunct his Part of Bereavement at 19 Capricorn 32 square his Part of Accidents at 19Aries44.

* Saturn is opposite his natal Venus

* Mars, ruler of the 10th house, is trine his 10th cusp, suggesting an easy ‘end of the matter’ for Diana.

*  Neptune is conjunct Diana’s natal 8th cusp and her Part of Murder.

So Charles Daily Age Harmonic has a few signatures that could describe the death of his former wife.

Solar Arcs

The strongest Solar Arc I can see is SA Venus square natal Saturn.  This can certainly describe his sorrow, and, as Saturn is in the 2nd house, connected to the death of his wife.

Another interesting Solar Arc is that of Uranus conjunct Ceres.  Ceres frequently shows up in charts to do with death and Uranus is the ruler of Charles 7th house of partnerships.

Tertiary Progressions

*  The Tertiary Progressed Descendant is 22Scorpio00, conjunct Charles natal Sun, the ruler of his natal 2nd house.  This shows both his prominence (Sun ) and matters to do with the death of his wife.  It is also conjunct his Topocentric 5th cusp, showing the emphasis on his children at this time.  Interestingly the Descendant is conjunct Charles Part of Murder at 21 Scorpio06 and square Part of Assassination at 21Aquarius43.

*  TP Sun is conjunct natal Saturn, traditional ruler of his 7th house of partnerships.  Saturn is in his natal 2nd house of death of partner and the Sun rules that house.

*  The antiVertex is conjunct Charles Part of Accidents and square his Part of Bereavement.

*  Saturn, traditional ruler of his 7th house, is square Mars, ruler of his 10th house – the derived 4th house for his ex-wife.  Saturn is square his 5th house Mars, also showing the distress of his children.

* TP Moon is on the Saturn/Neptune midpoint and square the Saturn/MC midpoint.

Minor Progressions

The Minor Progressed Moon at 22Aquarius47 and minor Progressed North Node at 21Aquarius52 are conjunct Charles 8th cusp and square his natal Sun.

The death of your mother

This is almost always a very traumatic event and is clearly shown in the charts of the children.

The mother is either ruled by the MC or IC.  The Harmonic charts will usually describe which of these is the appropriate one.  In the case of Prince William it is the IC as it is conjunct the natal 8th house Vertex in the Age Harmonic for the death of his mother.

As well as the normal 8th house signatures the 11th house is the 8th from the IC, so would be active in the charts for the death of his mother.

As well as the normal 4th house signatures, the 7th house is the 4th from the IC, so would also be active in the charts for the death of his mother.

Prince William

This is the chart of Prince William, born 21st June 1982, 902.40 pm, London, UK.  Regiomontanus house cusps.  Around the outside is his Daily Age Harmonics for the death of his mother on 31st August 1997.

There are several strong activations;

* DAH IC conjunct natal 8th house Vertex and DAH Pluto square.

* Venus conjunct natal 8th cusp and transiting Uranus conjunct 2nd.

*  Saturn conjunct natal Sun

*  Ascendant conjunct natal North Node – showing the family and public involvement.  Ascendant is also opposite the Part of Death of Parents and square Part of Fatality.

*  Descendant opposite Mercury, ruler of the derived third house of vehicles for his mother.

* Moon conjunct Mars quincunx natal Pluto.

When you put William’s Daily Age Harmonics around the outside of his mother’s chart his MC is conjunct his mother’s 3rd house cusp,  his Mercury conjunct her South Node and Ceres conjunct her North Node.

William’s 15th harmonic chart shows the IC conjunct natal 8th cusp and Descendant conjunct natal 11th (derived 8th).

In his Secondary Progressed and Solar Arc charts the Ascendant is conjunct his Part of Death of Parents.

It fascinates me that William’s progressed angles were conjunct his younger brother Harry’s natal angles at the time of the death of  their mother.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry was born on 15th September 1984, 4.20 pm, London, UK.  His natal chart is on the inside and his Daily Age Harmonic chart on the outside wheel.

Like his brother William, it is clear that Diana is described by his IC.

This Daily Age Harmonic chart has:

*  Ascendant conjunct natal IC

*  IC conjunct natal Uranus in the derived 8th house of his mother, suggesting a sudden death.

* Moon-Jupiter conjunction conjunct Diana’s natal antiVertex-Saturn and quincunx Harry’s natal Mercury, ruler of the 8th and in the 8th house.

*  Neptune- South Node is conjunct natal South Node;  North Node is conjunct natal Chiron; Mercury is conjunct natal Pluto.

*  MC is square natal Part of Death of Parents at 2 Pisces 10; Mars is opposing Part of Bereavement at 28 Sagittarius 53

For example; A parent can be born with the Sun in Taurus, their child born with the Sun in the 2nd house and their grandchild born with the Sun conjunct Venus.

You can also have strong connections between siblings e.g.  one born with Uranus in the third house who has a  sibling who is an Aquarius and another with Moon conjunct Uranus.

Uncles and Aunts are also in the picture:  you could have an uncle with the Sun in Sagittarius who has a nephew with the Sun in the 9th and a niece with the Sun conjunct Jupiter.

As these energies can skip a generation there is often a strong correlation between planets, signs and houses in the charts of grandparents and their grandchildren.

It is most interesting to trace a genetic line down the generations and see what ‘gene’ has been passed from one member of the family to another.

This system only works if the births of the people involved were natural  i.e. not cesarean, or by induction, as this interferes with the natural cycles of the family dynamic.  It sometimes works if the birth is assisted by forceps delivery as this interference is not so ‘out of time’.

In this system the Moon and the Ascendant are interchangeable i.e. sometimes the Moon in the house describes the Ascendant of another member of the family.

Occasionally the Sun and the MC are interchangeable as well.

The English Royal Family

As their births are always accurately recorded, to illustrate I will use the charts of Charles, Diana, their two sons Prince William and Prince Harry, and Charles parents, Queen Elizabeth ll and Prince Philip.  Some of these people had medical assistance at birth so the correlations are not as strong as in families that have all natural births, yet enough can be seen to illustrate this process.

Prince Charles

As you can see, Prince Charles has his Sun in the 4th house, so we would expect the Sun in Cancer  and the Sun in aspect to the Moon to run through his family line.

He has the Moon in the 10th house, so we would expect the Moon in Capricorn or in aspect to Saturn to run through the family line.  The Moon and Ascendant are often interchangeable, so the Ascendant in Capricorn or Saturn conjunct the Ascendant are a possibility.  His mother, Queen Elizabeth ll, his father, Prince Phillip and his son, Prince Harry all have Capricorn rising.

His Ascendant is in Leo, so we would expect members of his family to have the Moon in Leo or a prominent Sun.  Both his mother and his father have the Moon in Leo.

He has the nodal axis in the 10th and 4th houses, so we would expect Nodes in Capricorn and Cancer or in aspect to Saturn or the Moon to run through his family line  … and so on.

As he has his Sun in Scorpio we would expect some members of his family to have the Sun in aspect to Mars or Pluto or the Sun in the 8th house.  His father, Prince Phillip, has his Sun conjunct Mars Prince Phillip and his son, Prince Harry, has the Sun in the 8th house.

Prince Charles has a MC of Aries and his father has his Sun conjunct Mars.

As he has his Moon in Taurus we would expect some members of his family to have the Moon in the 2nd house or in aspect to Venus .  His grandfather, King George Vl has the Moon in the 2nd house King George VI

… and so on with all the planets.

Princess Diana

Princess Diana had her Sun in the 7th house so we would expect Sun in Libra or Sun in close aspect to Venus running through her family line.

She has the Moon in the 2nd house so we would expect the Moon in Taurus or the Moon in aspect to Venus to run through her family line.  The Moon is one of the placements that change houses with a change of house system.  In Koch it is in the 3rd house, so it is possible that the Moon in Gemini or in aspect to Mercury would run through her family line, rather than the Taurus connection.

As her Sun is in Cancer, we would expect the Sun in the 4th house and the Sun in close aspect to the Moon to run through her family line.

As the Moon is in Aquarius we would expect the Moon in the 11th house or the Moon is close aspect to Saturn or Uranus to run through her family line.  Alternatively, as she has Sagittarius rising, some members of her family may have the Moon in the 9th house or conjunct Jupiter   .. and so on with all the planets.

Princess Diana has her nodal axis in the 2nd-8th house and her son, Prince Harry, has his nodal axis in Taurus-Scorpio.

Prince William

So lets see what placements from each parent their first son, Prince William, is carrying.

Prince William has his Sun in Cancer, which he inherited from his father’s Sun in the 4th house.  He also has his Sun conjunct Moon, which he inherited from his father’s Sun in the 4th house and his Mother’s Sun in Cancer.  His Sun in the 7th house echoes his mother’s Sun in the 7th house.

His Cancer-Capricorn nodal axis echoes his father’s 10th house-4th house nodal axis and his paternal grandmother’s Cancer-Capricorn nodal axis.  Click here to see Queen Elizabeth II

His Mars in the 9th house echoes his father’s Mars in Sagittarius.  This is an important genetic connection as Mars is ruler of both their Midheavens.  William’s Jupiter is also just in the 9th house, which echoes his father’s Jupiter in Sagittarius.

His MC is Scorpio and his father has his Sun in Scorpio.

William has directly inherited his Venus in Taurus in the 5th house through his mother.  The Moon-Node conjunction was also inherited through his mother’s Moon-South Node conjunction.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry has inherited his Sun in the 8th house from his father’s Sun in Scorpio.

His Moon in the 4th house echoes his brother’s Moon in Cancer.

Like his father he has Moon in Taurus, Venus in Libra,   Mars in Sagittarius and the nodal axis in the 10th-4th house.

His MC is Scorpio and his father has his Sun in Scorpio.

His Mars in the 11th house echoes his paternal grandmother’s Mars in Aquarius

His Saturn in Scorpio echoes his paternal grandfather’s Saturn in the 8th.

Prince Harry has his Nodal axis late in the 5th-11th house, which echoes his mother’s nodal axis late in Leo-Aquarius.

Relationship connections

You will find that you are drawn to those whose planets in houses echo your planets in signs and vice versa.  Notice that Prince Charles, with his Sun in the 4th house,  was drawn to Princess Diana with her Sun in Cancer and she, with her Moon in the 2nd house, was drawn to his Moon in Taurus.

Friendships can show the sign ruler of the 11th house echoed by the same planet in the relevant house of your friend.  e.g. You may have Aries on the cusp of the 11th house with the ruler, Mars,  in Leo and your friend has Mars in the 5th house.

Equivalent House Degrees

Equivalent house degrees are derived from the exact position of a planet in a house related to a zodiac sign.

i.e.

The first house is the equivalent to Aries

The second house is the equivalent to Taurus

The third house is the equivalent to Gemini

The fourth house is the equivalent to Cancer

The 5th house is the equivalent to Leo

The 6th house is the equivalent to Virgo

The 7th house is the equivalent to Libra

The 8th house is the equivalent to Scorpio

The 9th house is the equivalent to Sagittarius

the 10th house is the equivalent to Capricorn

The 11th house is the equivalent to Aquarius

The 12th house is the equivalent to Pisces

Currently there is the idea that  there is no relationship between the signs and houses.  This is because the ancients were not aware of any relationship between these two factors as they hadn’t discovered the house systems and therefore the house cusps.   Since those eras it has been discovered that there is clearly a relationship between planet, sign and house.  The  Equivalent House Degrees clearly demonstrate this relationship.

To Calculate Equivalent House Degrees

1. Take the cusp degree and minute of the house you are considering away from the degree and minute of the cusp of the next house.
2. Divide this sum by 30 (to turn the house degrees into zodiac degrees).
3. Take the degree of the  house cusp away from the degree of the planet in the house.
4. Divide this sum by the result of (2).
5. This is the equivalent house degree.
6. Use the equivalent house = zodiac  i.e. 1^st house = Aries; 2^nd house = Taurus etc., to determine the sign.

CHARLES EQUIVALENT HOUSE DEGREES

Using the Koch House System, which I think is Charles major house system resonance, we can determine the equivalent house degrees in the following way:

1^st/7^th house:    is  22° 36’  so dividing this by 30 to turn the house degrees into equivalent zodiac degrees  yields  0°45’12”

2^nd/8^th house:    22°35’/30 = 0°45’10”

3^rd/9^th house:    22°43’/30 = 0°45’26”

4^th/10^th house:  56°34’/30 = 1°53’08”

5^th/11^th house:  31°22’/30 =  1°02’44”

6^th/12^th house:  24°10’/30 =  0°48’20”

For example:

Prince Charles’ Sun is 22Scorpio 25′ 21″ in the 4th house, which is equivalent to Cancer.  His 4th house cusp is 13Libra19’10″. Using the 360 wheel to calculate, 0 Libra is 180 so 13.19 Libra is 193 degrees 19 minutes.  0 Scorpio is 210,  so 22Scorpio25 is 232 degrees 25 minutes.

232 25′ 21″  - 193 19′ 10″  = 39 degrees 6 minutes 11 seconds.  Divide this  by 1 degree 53′ 08″ gives 20 degrees 44 minutes 17 seconds

Therefore: 
The Sun in the 4th house is equivalent to 20Cancer44’17” 

This is in the same degree as his mother’s natal North Node and Descendant.

Continuing these calculations with Charles’ other planets gives:  

The Moon in the 10th house is equivalent to 09Capricorn02’32”

This is in the opposite degree to his first wife Diana’s  natal Sun and his second wife, Camilla’s natal Venus-Moon conjunction.

It is in the same degree as his brother, Prince Edward’s, South Node.

Mercury in the 4th house is equivalent to 12Cancer32’02”

This is in the same degree as his father, Prince Phillip’s,  Mercury-Descendant.

It is in the same degree as his son, Prince Harry’s, Descendant

It is in the same degree as his eldest son, Prince William’s, North Node

Venus in the 4th house is equivalent to 01Cancer37’35”

This is in the same degree as  his brother, Prince Andrew’s, antiVertex

Mars in the 5th house is equivalent to 10Leo 34’07”

This is very close to the degree of  his mother’s Moon at 11Leo46.

It is within a degree of  his brother, Prince Andrew’s, Ascendant of 11Leo33.

Ceres in the 1st house is equivalent to 19Aries06’54”

Jupiter in the 5th house is equivalent 19Leo07’43”

This is in the same degree as his brother, Prince Andrew’s, Uranus

Saturn in the 2nd house is equivalent to 09Taurus37’52”

This is with a degree of his first wife, Princess Diana’s, Ceres at 10Taurus37.

Chiron in the 4th house is equivalent to 23Cancer48’45”

This is in the same degree as  his second wife, Camilla’s, Sun.

Uranus in the 11th house  is equivalent to 19Aquarius09’38”

This is the opposite degree to his brother, Prince Andrew’s, natal Uranus at 18Leo33

It is close to his father’s antiVertex of 20Aquarius54

Neptune in the 4th house is equivalent to 00Cancer25’27”

This is in the same degree as his son, Prince William’s, Sun.

It is in the same degree as his brother, Prince Andrew’s, antiVertex

Pluto in the 1st house  is equivalent to 14Aries46’44”

North Node in the 1oth house is equivalent to 11Capricorn28’23”

This is the same degree as his son, Prince Harry’s, Ascendant.

South Node in the 4th house is equivalent to 11Cancer28’23”

This is the same degree as his second wife’s Moon-Venus conjunction.

Vertex in the 5th house is equivalent to  12Leo26’01”

This is the same degree as his mother’s Moon,  his brother, Prince Andrew’s  Ascendant, his father’s Neptune and his son, Prince William’s Vertex.

antiVertex in the 11th house is equivalent to 12Aquarius26’01”

Other house systems are also likely to yield close connections, but Koch for Prince Charles works very well.

You can use this system to determine the likelihood of making close connections with people.  For example, Prince Charles has Gemini on the cusp of his Koch 11th house; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and it is in the 4th house in the equivalent house degree of 12Cancer32, so he is likely to make friends with people who have their Mercury close to this degree and sign.

Princess Diana responds very strongly to the Regiomontanus house system and using that system I was both fascinated and amused to see that her equivalent house degree for Mars was 22Scorpio51’24″ , in the same degree as Prince Charles’ Sun.  In the  Topocentric/Placidus house system the equivalent house degree for her Pluto was 22Scorpio15 – also in the same degree as Charles’ Sun!

As yet I don’t know of a computer program that will automatically work out equivalent house degrees.  To date I have been calculating them with a calculator and it is quite time consuming, so if you do know of a program that can calculate these degrees please let me know.

This becomes the official chart for the Gillard Government for the duration of her holding office.  Transits, progressions, directions and harmonics to this chart should describe events during the course of her office.

As the third house describes communication I found it interesting that the ruler of the Ascendant, Uranus, was conjunct 3rd house cusp and Jupiter dignified in its own sign.  Both Jupiter and Uranus are retrograde – quite fitting for an Oath re-taken under three months from the previous one on 24th June 2010.  The ruler of the Ascendant conjunct Jupiter in dignity augurs quite well for this Government.

Pluto is ruler of the MC and sextile the MC from the 11th house, suggesting the Government in power will overall be successful in negotiation and networking.

Venus and Mars conjunct MC and in mutual reception suggests a ‘dual’ government and, with a hung Parliament depending upon Independents to function properly, co-operation between the Labor and Liberal Parties is essential.  Isn’t it interesting that Venus is conjunct the MC , describing a Venusian Prime Minister – Julia’s Sun is in Libra.

The anti-Vertex conjunct Ceres can well describe destined female power.

The Sun in the 8th house suggests considerable emphasis on finance, particularly financial dealings with other countries.  The Sun’s ruler, Mercury is also in the 8th house and dignified, so these matters can go quite well.

The Moon in Sagittarius in the 11th house suggests that emphasis will also be on overseas friends of Australia as well as Parliament and Legislation.

Timing:

Transits:

The dates Jupiter and Uranus turn direct will be important.    Jupiter turns direct on the 19th November 2010 and Uranus on 6th December 2010,  matters that have needed to be reassessed or renegotiated will be resolved from these dates and government policies should move forward.    The third house describes all forms of communication, including the Internet,   so perhaps this is the period where matters to do with the Broadband network for Australia is  sorted out.   As these two planets move into Aries new projects, situations and ideas can manifest.  Jupiter moves into Aries on 23rd January 2011 and Uranus on 12th March 2011.  Uranus moving into Aries can produce an entirely new start or new focus – again quite fitting for the planned National Broadband Network.

Transiting North Node will conjunct radix Pluto in late November 2010 – January 2011.  This suggests a powerful association and/or a major group effort for an important goal.  This combination describes large groups of people, mass meetings and global business concerns.  Mercury in Capricorn retrograding over this combination between 3rd – 16th December describes discussions about matters to do with past events/situations, particularly involving financial dealings with foreign countries. This is further stimulated by transiting Mars on 11th December .    When in direct motion Mercury  makes its final transit to this point on 16th January 2011, it is likely an important decision is made and a matter is resolved. Mercury also rules trade, so a new trading partnership can be negotiated during this period and/or an old one end.

The Pluto-Descendant line runs through Indonesia and Japan,  so perhaps these countries are  involved.  It also runs through Canada, Washington DC, Gunyana and Brazil.  The Pluto direction line runs through North Africa and through Mexico.  The Pluto-IC line also through Africa, and particularly South Africa.    click here to see Pluto astrocartography

Transiting Pluto moves to square radix Saturn January – November 2011. Saturn is the traditional ruler of the radix Aquarian Ascendant and Pluto is the modern ruler of the Scorpio MC, so this transit is quite powerful.  As radix Saturn is in the 9th house this suggests problems with travel or overseas concerns.  It can emphasis the air force and perhaps the navy.  As this square is considered difficult it can give high pressure situations, loss and destruction.  The 9th house can also describe the laws of the land, so it is likely that there will be legal difficulties as well as problems with legislation during this time.   Religions also come under the 9th house banner, so this could bring further pressure and difficulties with refugees and radical Islam.

Saturn and Pluto together can be quite good for research, so it is possible a research project is published that is some way affects the Gillard administration.  This combination is stimulated in February by transiting Jupiter, which could bring matters to do with religious fanaticism to the fore.  It is stimulated by transiting Mars on the 9th April which suggests violence or some form of ruthlessness.

As radix Saturn is conjunct Julia Gillard’s natal Sun, this transit suggests she is dealing with very high pressure situations.

From Early to mid November 2011 transiting Saturn is conjunct Mars-MC-Venus. This is a crucial time for the Gillard Administration as any flaws will become apparent;  conversely if the administration has managed to do well, there will be acknowledgment and a sense of achievement.

The ruler of the Ascendant, Uranus moves into square with Pluto, the ruler of the MC, from late April 2011 to February 2012. This will be activated by transiting Mars on 7th August 2011   and the new  Moon in December 2011.  This combination of energies is aptly described by Ebertin in ‘Combination of Stellar Influences’ as the collapse of the old order of things and the construction of the new.  Therefore I think that during this period, and particularly around the activation dates, the Gillard Government is at risk of upheaval or collapse.  Mercury retrograde conjunct transiting Uranus and square radix Pluto between the 5th -20th March 2012 and further stimulated by the New Moon on the 23rd March,  will bring a major period of reassessment.  On the 20th April 2012, Mercury in direction motion will bring matters to a head and perhaps herald an important decision.

The partial solar eclipse on 1st July 2011 is conjunct radix North Node.  This heralds transiting Pluto conjunct radix North Node between January 2012 – December 2013. This covers the period of the maximum 3 years  the Gillard Administration can run before another election.    It is strongly stimulated by transiting Mars in November 2012 suggesting that if the Administration is still in power, a major power play around this period.
